2 Peter · Sodom and Gomorrah as an Example of Judgment
Peter recalls that God did not spare the angels who sinned or the ancient world, though he kept Noah and seven others safe through the flood. God also turned Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes as an example for the ungodly, and he rescued righteous Lot. Jude adds that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.
